Understanding depression is essential in overcoming it.

Study carried out to access the current prevalence of depression in oyo state.Nigeria,showed that depression is more common in rural than urban areas in the Nigeria population.

Depressive disorders tend to 1st appear in adolescence or early adulthood,overall,about 25% of people who develop a depressive disorder will do so before age of 20years and 50% before age 30years.2005 and 2015.
